Pre-cast Concrete Countertops

After being contacted by the owner requesting "large slabs of stone" for their outdoor kitchen, we went to review the site. Although the home was built in 1991, it looks like a historic log cabin. All the wood details of the home stood out, so we created the concept of large, live edge wooden planks to serve as the countertops.

The goal was to achieve a look that "the boards were cut and sanded in the mill down the road", while still making the pieces entirely out of concrete. There was a significant amount of edge detailing, staining, and adding grain profiles into these pieces. As you can see, the end results are stunning! The owner was brought to tears at the final result.
